Habilitation…..
Habilitation activities ensure optimal functioning through development
of skills that enhance the individual’s social, emotional communicative
and physical well being. We provide or arrange transportation for
individual’s participation in Day Habilitation. We ensure that
lessons taught at school, therapy are re-enforced at home setting.
Home-maker Service…
We give maximum support to individual’s participation in activities that
promote personal integration. Home-maker consists of direct
personal supervision of the individual to perform activities and/or
encourage skill development in such area as meal preparation, basic self
help and hygiene such as bathing, toileting, grooming, eating,
ambulating and individual’s personal care.
Counseling and Therapy….
Our program offers specific assistance and support in counseling,
diagnostic and therapeutic activities all directing in increasing the
overall effective functioning of the individual. Some elements of
counseling and therapy include speech/language pathology, physical
therapy, occupational therapy, medical social worker and psychologists.
Nursing Service……
Nursing involves performance of healthcare procedures and monitoring an
individual’s health condition. Our team of nurses is available to
deliver nursing services at any time needed. Our resident nurse
has over 30 years of nursing experience.
Respite Service….
Individuals living in their family homes are eligible for the HCS
respite services which include room and board for up to thirty (30) days
per year, but may be used in an increment of as little as one hour at a
time.
Adaptive Aids…
Adaptive aids will be provided to those individuals who have need for
them and who meet the Texas Department of Mental Health and Mental
Retardation standards.
Minor Home Modifications….
Minor home modifications includes assess for the need for such
modification, arranging and providing the modification and/or
improvements to a participants living quarters in order to ensure his or
her safety, security and accessibility.
